In a surprising and encouraging move for the modding community, Stellar Blade director and producer Kim Hyung Tae has publicly expressed his full support for player-created mods. During a recent press conference held in Yeouido, South Korea, Kim was asked about his perspective on modding and responded enthusiastically: “First of all, I fully support the phenomenon of players using mods. In fact, I myself also want to try out some of the more exciting mods.”
He continued with an optimistic outlook on the creative potential of the community: “I look forward to seeing many players create their own mods and engaging in healthy competition with them to see whose mods are more attractive. I also hope that more players can get involved in mod creation.”
This sentiment comes at an opportune time, as the PC demo of *Stellar Blade* has already sparked significant interest among modders. Despite the full PC release not being live yet, there are already dozens of mods listed on Nexus, ranging from visual enhancements like reshaders and new skins to immersive features such as VR support and even subtle customizations like nail polish. Some other mods remain hidden under "adult" categories—let’s just say they’re not intended for general audiences.
IGN's Stellar Blade review awarded the game a score of 7/10, noting its strengths in core gameplay mechanics while pointing out room for improvement in narrative depth and character development. The verdict read: “Stellar Blade is great in all of the most important ways for an action game, but dull characters, a lackluster story, and several frustrating elements of its RPG mechanics prevent it from soaring along with the best of the genre.”
The PC version of *Stellar Blade* is set to launch via Steam on **June 11**, packed with a variety of performance and visual enhancements tailored for PC gamers. These include AI upscaling through **Nvidia DLSS 4** and **AMD FSR 3**, an unlocked framerate, Japanese and Chinese voiceover options, ultrawide display compatibility, improved environment textures, and DualSense controller support for enhanced haptics and trigger effects.
Interestingly, the game was initially region locked in over 100 countries but has since expanded availability, now allowing pre-orders in **over 250 regions** worldwide. While there currently isn’t a confirmed *Stellar Blade* multiplayer mod, exploratory findings within the game files hint at the presence of embedded multiplayer functionality—something fans will likely dig into once the full version drops.
