Operative Division has now landed on Android, blending real-time strategy with third-person shooter action. Developed and published by CanvasieGames, an indie studio from Hungary, this is their first mobile release.
Operative Division is vast
Set in a harsh post-apocalyptic world, the game pits two rival factions against each other in a brutal war. On one side is the EvoPref Corporation, armed with heavy armor and overwhelming firepower.
Opposing them is the LibeGaia Revolution, which relies on speed, hacking, and adaptive tactics. The conflict centers on two opposing visions of survival: salvation through technology versus endurance through natural evolution.
Operative Division doesn’t force you to choose between commanding from above or fighting on the ground—you can do both.
From a top-down perspective, you build bases, manage troop formations, and issue coordinated orders. With a simple switch, you can leap directly into the action, piloting a commander vehicle or unit yourself.
The story-driven campaign features 42 missions. After completing them, Skirmish mode unlocks, offering replayable battles with dynamic maps featuring shifting terrain and randomized object placement.
Unlock powerful superweapons like the Orbital Ion Cannon, Lightning Strike, and Nuclear Missile. The latter leaves behind lingering radiation that alters battlefield dynamics for minutes. Capturing control points grants additional resources, while scavenging resource crates and ammo boxes extends your combat endurance.
What will be the outcome of your mission?
Memory Crates scattered across the maps reveal fragments of the world’s history. Meanwhile, you can upgrade your commander vehicles to enhance armor, speed, reload speed, and weapon range. Even regular troops gain ranks during combat, steadily improving their stats.
Tactical details like subsystem targeting let you disable enemy weapons, engines, or sensors. The battlefield itself becomes a threat—explosive barrels and wreckage can trigger devastating chain reactions.
Operative Division also introduces dynamic day-night cycles that change visibility and atmosphere mid-battle. Play entirely offline, with no ads or microtransactions—available for a single purchase of $7.99. Find it on the Google Play Store.
