Bennett remains one of the most versatile and valuable characters in *Genshin Impact*. Despite being available since launch, he continues to dominate team compositions across all content. But with the arrival of Iansan in Version 5.5, players are wondering: Could this new Electro Polearm user replace Bennett?

*Genshin Impact* community recognizes how HoYoverse unintentionally made support characters like Bennett (along with Xingqiu and Xiangling) exceptionally powerful - leading developers to design new characters with more specialized roles. The upcoming 4-Star Electro Polearm character Iansan, launching March 26 in Version 5.5, shows striking similarities to Bennett's kit, sparking discussions about her potential as a replacement.
How Does Iansan's Kit Compare to Bennett's in Genshin Impact?
This Natlan-based support character provides DMG boosts and healing through her Elemental Burst "The Three Principles of Power." Unlike Bennett's stationary field, Iansan summons a mobile Kinetic Energy Scale that follows characters while increasing ATK based on her Nightsoul Points.
Iansan's ATK buff mechanics differ significantly - below 42/54 Nightsoul Points, the bonus scales with both Points and ATK, while above this threshold it depends solely on ATK. This requires building her with ATK-focused stats. However, characters must continuously move (vertically or horizontally) to maintain and regenerate her Nightsoul Points.
While both characters offer healing, Bennett's capability outperforms Iansan's - healing up to 70% HP compared to Iansan who cannot even heal herself. Another key difference lies in elemental infusion: Bennett's C6 grants Pyro infusion to Normal Attacks, while Iansan provides no Electro equivalent. For Pyro-focused teams, Bennett remains superior thanks to Pyro Resonance's 25% ATK bonus.

Should You Choose Iansan or Bennett in Genshin Impact?
Iansan offers an intriguing alternative rather than a direct replacement - particularly valuable for Spiral Abyss teams needing a second Bennett-like support. Her greatest advantage? Eliminating the need for "Circle Impact" gameplay, as her mobile Energy Scale encourages dynamic movement rather than stationary play.
Players can experience Iansan's unique mechanics when she debuts in Phase I of Version 5.5 on March 26.
Genshin Impact is available to play now.
