Palace - Free Classic Card Game (Also Known As Shed, Karma, or "OG")

Palace was the most popular card game in my high school study halls and cafeteria during the 90s. According to Wikipedia, it's also favored among backpackers and has become widely popular as a result.

Play against eight unique computer opponents, each with slightly different playing styles, or compete live against your friends.

Basic Rules:

Each player is dealt 3 face-down cards. You cannot look at or change these until the end of the game. Next, 3 face-up cards are placed on top. Finally, each player receives 3 cards to form their hand. If you wish, you may swap cards from your hand with your face-up cards.

The player who has a 3 or the next lowest card begins the game.

Each turn, you must discard one card (or multiple cards of the same rank) that is equal to or greater than the top card of the pickup pile. Then draw from the deck to maintain at least 3 cards in your hand (unless the deck is empty or you already have 3 or more cards in hand).

2s and 10s are wild cards. A 2 resets the pile, and a 10 clears it. Four of a kind, like a 10, also clears the pile.

If you cannot play a card equal to or higher than the top card or a wild card, you must pick up the entire pile.

When you have no cards left in your hand and the deck is empty, play your face-up cards. Once all face-up cards are played, proceed to your face-down cards.

The first player to get rid of all their cards wins.

Palace is sometimes referred to as Shed, Karma, or "OG".
