World of Warcraft's Detective Title Remains Accessible: A Guide to Finding Alyx and the Missing Celebration Crates
World of Warcraft players can still acquire the coveted Detective title and pursue the elusive Incognitro Felcycle mount, even after the 20th-anniversary event concluded. This is thanks to the relocation of Alyx, the key NPC for the Guest Relations mystery questline.
Alyx, a Lightforged Draenei, has been moved to Dornogal, specifically to the hot springs area northwest of the Delver's Headquarters, near the Foundation Hall. Alyx now holds the title of "Volunteer Event Coordinator, Among Other Things," and their helpful clue board remains intact, guiding players to the locations of 11 missing Celebration Crates.
Obtaining the Detective Title:
- Locate Alyx: Find Alyx in Dornogal, between the Delver's Headquarters and the stairs leading to the Foundation Hall.
- Collect the Crates: Examine Alyx's clue board and follow the hints to locate all 11 missing Celebration Crates. (Note: Players must be level 10 to begin Celebration Crate quests, but level 68 is required to access Dornogal.)
- Claim Your Rewards: Return six crates to Alyx for the "Crate Insurance Agent" achievement, and all 11 crates to receive the "No Crate Left Behind," "Azeroth's Greatest Detective" achievements, and the crucial Detective title. The Detective title unlocks the Incognitro mount questline.
Important Note: While the Detective title and Incognitro mount quest remain accessible, other Guest Relations quests and their associated rewards (such as the Thinking Cap transmog) are no longer obtainable, as they were tied to the now-defunct anniversary event grounds.
This strategic move by Blizzard ensures that players won't be permanently locked out of obtaining the Detective title and the Incognitro mount, a significant achievement for dedicated World of Warcraft players.
