Fans eager to dive into the initial episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld will need to venture into Fortnite to catch the series premiere before it hits Disney+. Epic Games has unveiled an exciting expansion of its Star Wars offerings, announcing that the first two episodes of this animated spinoff will debut exclusively within Fortnite. This move aligns with the studio's commitment to enhancing its Star Wars content for the upcoming Galactic Battle season, which promises a galaxy of themed goodies for players.
You can witness the kickoff of Tales of the Underworld featuring Asajj Ventress by joining the Star Wars Watch Party island starting at 10 a.m. ET on May 2—two days ahead of its Disney+ debut. Epic encourages fans to link their Epic Games and MyDisney accounts, offering a First Order Stormtrooper outfit as a reward. While the full scope of benefits from this linkage remains under wraps, Epic hints at "more benefits to come."
"Disney and Epic are pioneering the future of social entertainment together, and this expansive Star Wars collaboration offers a glimpse into the type of interactive experiences we envision," said Epic Games President Adam Sussman. "We are reimagining what’s possible with immersive storytelling in Fortnite with one of the world’s most beloved franchises - stay tuned for a lot more to come."
The window to watch both episodes of Tales of the Underworld on the Star Wars Watch Party island closes on May 11. During this time, the island will also host a Battle Arena where players can engage in lightsaber duels against waves of enemies. Those who watch both episodes will be rewarded with an Asajj Ventress loading screen.

Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld is a captivating six-episode series, animated in the style of The Clone Wars, that follows the adventures of Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane. The series promises intriguing plotlines, with Ventress encountering a new chance at life and a new ally, while Bane is forced to confront his past.
Disney's collaboration with Fortnite extends well beyond the Galactic Battle season. In March 2024, the House of Mouse acquired a $1.5 billion stake in Epic, setting the stage for long-term collaboration. This partnership will not only bring more Star Wars content but also introduce Marvel and Pixar outfits to the popular battle royale game. Anticipated highlights for the next season include Darth Jar Jar and Emperor Palpatine.
Since its launch in 2017, Fortnite has continued to dominate the space. Its recent collaborations, such as the Sabrina Carpenter crossover, have kept the game fresh and engaging, encouraging players to put down the pickaxes and put on their dancing shoes.
