The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered breathes new life into Bethesda's seminal RPG with enhanced visuals, refined gameplay mechanics, and more, yet the team at Virtuos chose to preserve one of the original game's most beloved quirks.
Seasoned fans of The Elder Scrolls series will fondly remember Master Speechcraft trainer Tandilwe, a High Elf found in the Temple of the One within the Imperial City. When Oblivion first graced PC and Xbox 360 screens over 19 years ago, it became evident that Tandilwe could benefit from her own speech training. Her voice line, famously thought to be a mistake, features actress Linda Kenyon attempting to perfect her delivery.

As players embarked on their journey through a rejuvenated Cyrodiil just yesterday, many were eager to assess the fidelity of this ground-up remaster. While numerous landscapes, character models, and objects have been revitalized, fans are thrilled to discover that many of the original game's endearing quirks remain. Tandilwe's amusing blooper, a highlight from the 2006 release, has joyously returned, preserved in all its unsubtitled glory.

In a 2019 interview with YouTube's Jake 'The Voice' Parr, Kenyon addressed the infamous Oblivion blooper, humorously claiming, "It wasn't my fault!"
While the community debates whether the Bethesda re-release leans more towards a remake or a remaster, many are delighted to see that much of the original game's charm and imperfections have been retained. This was a deliberate choice by Bethesda and Virtuos, and it's resonating well with both new and returning players.
