Marvel Rivals' Pay-to-Win Bug Acknowledged, Fix on the Way

Marvel Rivals's launch was a resounding success, boasting hundreds of thousands of concurrent Steam players, overshadowing Overwatch 2's performance. However, a significant and frustrating bug has cast a shadow over this positive start.

We previously reported on a performance-related issue impacting low-end PCs: reduced hero movement speed and damage output at low frame rates. The developers have acknowledged the bug and are actively working on a solution.

Unfortunately, a complete fix is proving challenging. As a result, Marvel Rivals Season 1 will likely see a temporary patch focusing on improved movement. Resolving the damage reduction issue will require more time, with no definitive timeline for a complete fix currently available.

Therefore, our recommendation remains: prioritize maximum frame rate over graphical fidelity in Marvel Rivals. This will ensure a fair and competitive gaming experience.
