Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9: Cosmic Overhaul Arrives December 3rd!

Get ready for a celestial shake-up! Hearthstone's Battlegrounds mode is launching Season 9 on December 3rd, bringing a universe of changes. Expect a revamped minion lineup, flashy new tech, and a cosmic theme that completely transforms the Tavern.

Key Features:

• Bob's Technotavern Gets an Upgrade: Prepare for a rating reset and the retirement of Trinkets. In their place? Battlegrounds Tokens! These allow you to reroll your hero choice at the selection screen – perfect for escaping those less-than-ideal options.

• Minion Reveal Schedule: The new season's minions are being revealed in stages:

  • November 20th: Naga and Dragon reveals.
  • November 21st: Quilboar and Beast reveals.
  • November 22nd: Pirate and Duos-only reveals.
  • November 25th: Murloc and Demon reveals.
  • November 26th: Elemental and Undead reveals.
  • December 2nd: Preview event streams and 31.2 patch notes.

• New Heroes and Minions: Three brand-new heroes are joining the fray, with Farseer Nobundo already generating excitement. Nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells are being added or removed from the pool.

• Damage Cap Adjustment (Solo Mode): Solo Battlegrounds games will see a modified damage cap: 5 damage early game, increasing to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. The cap is removed once you reach the top 4.

• Minion Release Schedule:

  • December 3rd: Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs enter the pool.
  • December 5th: Murlocs and Demons join the battle.
  • December 9th: Undead and Elementals arrive.
