GTA 5 Actor Expects GTA 6 to Make $1.3 Billion On Its First Day

Ned Luke, the voice actor behind Michael De Santa in GTA 5, boldly predicts that GTA 6 will rake in an astonishing $1.3 billion on its first day of release. In a candid interview with the YouTube channel Fall Damage, Luke expressed his excitement about the upcoming GTA 6, hinting at the game's potential to be a groundbreaking hit due to Rockstar Games' penchant for surprises.

"Be patient," Luke advises fans. "It's going to be worth the wait. From what I've seen, it's going to be amazing." He draws a comparison to GTA 5, which amassed over $800 million in its first 24 hours back in 2013, and confidently states that GTA 6 will surpass these figures by a significant margin.

DFC Intelligence, a market research firm, forecasts that GTA 6 will sell over 40 million copies and generate $3.2 billion in its first year, with a whopping $1 billion coming solely from pre-orders.

The Future Of GTA 5 Characters In GTA 6

Luke also shed light on the potential return of GTA 5 characters in both GTA Online and GTA 6. He noted that while his character, Michael, has been absent from GTA Online since its inception, other protagonists like Trevor and Franklin have made appearances.

Luke teased the possibility of Michael's return in a rumored final DLC for GTA Online or even a cameo in GTA 6. Meanwhile, Steven Ogg, who portrayed Trevor in GTA 5, shared with ScreenRant in January 2025 his ideal scenario for Trevor's involvement in GTA 6: a dramatic "passing the torch" moment where Trevor meets his end at the game's outset.

"Maybe [Michael, Franklin, and Trevor will be] in GTA 6, like [its online mode]. Maybe. Maybe not. You know Rockstar is not going to tell you anything. And if we say anything, you know they will not be very happy," Luke cautioned. Despite the enthusiasm from both actors to reprise their roles, no official confirmation has been given about their characters' involvement in GTA 6.

GTA 6 May Be At Its Testing Phase

Mike York, a former Rockstar Games animator, suggested that GTA 6 is likely in its in-house testing phase. In a now-deleted interview with YouTuber Kiwi Talkz, reported by GamesRadar, York highlighted the game's unique nature due to its unpredictability.

"There are a lot of things that can happen that you don't really think about until some random kid in his basement tries it, you know? You really don't," York explained, emphasizing the game's innovative approach to open-world dynamics.

York believes that GTA 6 is currently undergoing in-house testing, with developers still refining the game and adding final touches. He speculated that the game is already playable and has likely been extensively tested by a number of testers.

Rockstar Games unveiled the first trailer for GTA 6 in December 2023, but has since remained tight-lipped about further details. A Fall 2025 release window was hinted at in Take-Two Interactive’s Financial Report in 2024, though no specific release date has been officially announced.
