For experienced Stardew Valley farmers, the Greenhouse is a game-changing feature that plays a vital role in restoring the family farm to its former prosperity. Here’s a breakdown of the maximum number of plants the Greenhouse can accommodate in Stardew Valley.
What Is the Greenhouse in Stardew Valley?
Found on the player's farm and unlocked by finishing Community Center bundles (or through the Joja Community Development Form), it provides a way to bypass seasonal crop restrictions that apply outside. Once all six pantry bundles in the Community Center are completed, the Greenhouse is restored overnight, enabling players to make full use of it.

Inside the Greenhouse, crops from any season can thrive year-round, including fruit trees, giving farmers continuous access to high-value produce—especially plants that yield multiple harvests. Unless removed by the player, these crops will generate a steady stream of income.
The Greenhouse interior features perimeter space for trees, storage chests, and equipment like Seed Makers. It also contains 10 rows and 12 columns of tillable soil. However, the total planting capacity fluctuates depending on whether Sprinklers are installed.

How Many Plants Can the Greenhouse Hold in Stardew Valley?
Without Sprinklers, the interior tiles support up to 120 crops, with space for 18 fruit trees along the edges. As always, fruit trees don’t require watering and will grow as long as there are two empty tiles between them.
Using Sprinklers changes the number of plants that can be grown. Farmers soon discover that Sprinklers save valuable time, freeing them up to focus on other activities around Pelican Town.

Depending on Sprinkler type and placement (note that Sprinklers can also be positioned on the wooden border), here’s how many are required to water the entire growing area:
Sixteen Quality Sprinklers cover all crops and occupy twelve inner tiles. Six Iridium Sprinklers cover all crops and take up four inner tiles. Four Iridium Sprinklers with Pressure Nozzles cover all crops and use two inner tiles. Five Iridium Sprinklers with Pressure Nozzles cover all crops and occupy one inner tile.
With careful planning, the Greenhouse becomes a highly profitable farm asset. By optimizing the available space, players can grow up to 120 crops throughout the year, dramatically increasing their farm's output.
That covers how many plants the Greenhouse can hold in Stardew Valley.
