Galarian Pokémon Invade Pokémon GO!

The Steely Resolve event in Pokémon GO, running from January 21st to 26th, marks the highly anticipated debut of the Corviknight evolutionary line: Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight. This arrival fulfills a long-standing player request and expands the game's Galar region Pokémon roster.

The event's arrival was subtly foreshadowed in December 2024's Dual Destiny Season loading screen, featuring Rookidee and Corviknight before their official announcement.

The Steely Resolve event is packed with activities:

• New Pokémon: Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight make their Pokémon GO debut.
• Special Research: A new Dual Destiny Special Research questline offers unique rewards.
• Field Research Tasks: Complete tasks for additional rewards.
• Shiny Pokémon Encounters: Increased chances to catch shiny versions of various Pokémon.
• Bonuses: Magnetic Lure Modules attract specific Pokémon (including Rookidee, Onix, and Beldum), and Charged TMs can remove Frustration from Shadow Pokémon. Increased spawns of Clefairy, Paldean Wooper, Carbink, and others.

The event also features:

• Raids: One-star raids featuring Lickitung, Skorupi, Pancham, and Amaura; five-star raids featuring Deoxys (Attack and Defense Forms) and Dialga; and Mega Raids featuring Mega Gallade and Mega Medicham.
• 2km Eggs: Increased chances of hatching Shieldon, Carbink, Mareanie, and Rookidee.
• Featured Attacks: Evolving specific Pokémon during the event grants them unique powerful attacks (e.g., Corviknight learning Iron Head).
• GO Battle Week (Dual Destiny): Running concurrently, this offers increased Stardust rewards, expanded battle limits, free Timed Research, and varied Pokémon stats in GO Battle League rewards.

Beyond the Corviknight line, the Steely Resolve event is part of a busy January for Pokémon GO, including the return of Shadow Ho-Oh in Shadow Raids, new Dynamax raids featuring Kanto Legendary Birds, and the return of the Pokémon GO Community Day Classic. This makes for a robust start to the year for Pokémon GO players.
