After a long-awaited period, Electronic Arts is finally set for the full, official unveiling of the next installment in the Battlefield franchise. The game appears to be officially titled Battlefield 6, with its debut trailer scheduled to premiere this week on July 24 at 8:00 AM Pacific Time.
This information comes from a scheduled YouTube stream listing that appeared on the official Battlefield channel for the specified date and time. Though the listing provides no further specifics, it does feature key artwork depicting four soldiers surveying a large-scale urban combat zone, complete with warships, helicopters, aircraft, and other military assets.
Fans have been anticipating Battlefield 6 for quite some time. The game was initially confirmed as being in development back in 2021, when EA reassured the community that more Battlefield titles were planned following the launch of Battlefield 2042. Since that initial announcement, early concept art has surfaced, and it has been confirmed that the new game will be set in a modern-day combat environment.
Although the title is currently slated for release in the current fiscal year—before March 2026—EA CEO Andrew Wilson has hinted that the studio is open to adjusting the launch window based on the release schedules of competing titles like Grand Theft Auto VI.
In recent months, footage from several closed playtests for Battlefield 6 has begun circulating online. These clips showcase the modern military setting, various combat engagements, destructible surroundings, quality-of-life enhancements, and the beginning of a battle royale-style match.
The past year has been challenging for EA, with the company undergoing multiple rounds of layoffs, implementing a controversial return-to-office policy, and canceling both upcoming projects—such as Cliffhanger's Black Panther game—and existing live services like Anthem.
