While PS Plus Essential provides online multiplayer access and monthly freebies, horror enthusiasts will find a richer selection in the Extra and Premium tiers.

The Extra tier boasts a library of hundreds of PS5 and PS4 games, regularly updated with approximately 15 new titles monthly. Premium expands this further, adding hundreds of classic PS3, PS2, PS1, and PSP games. This extensive catalog ensures a diverse range of genres, including a noteworthy selection of horror titles.

Update (January 5, 2025): The December 2024 PS Plus Extra and Premium additions lacked horror games. Note that Resident Evil 2 will be removed from the service on January 21, 2025, impacting genre availability. However, Resident Evil 3 remains.
