Application Description

Beyond standard shogi piece play, "Hasami Shogi" (Japanese chess scissors) is an app that also lets you enjoy "prisoner's base shogi" and "surround shogi".

● Hasami Shogi Rules

Players are divided into pawn and gold sides. You capture your opponent's pieces by sandwiching them.

Win by capturing three of your opponent's pieces.

However, due to the nature of Hasami Shogi, games may sometimes reach a stalemate (although design efforts have been made, outcomes can still be somewhat luck-dependent).

● Prisoner's Base Shogi Rules

Players are divided into pawn and gold sides. Move all your pawns into the opponent's 3x3 territory to win. Opponent's pieces can be leaped over.

● Surround Shogi Rules

Players are divided into pawn and gold sides. Similar to Hasami Shogi, you capture opponent's pieces by surrounding them. Additionally, you can place pieces within your own territory and encircle squares on the board.

Alternatively, capture six squares on the board or secure three territories to win.

All game modes feature a CPU opponent with three difficulty levels. Player versus player (PvP) is also supported.
