How to Play 101 Okey Vip Offline

101 Okey Vip is a captivating game played over multiple rounds with four players. The objective is simple yet challenging: finish each round with the lowest possible points. The player with the fewest points at the end of all rounds emerges as the ultimate winner. Points are calculated based on the numbers on the remaining tiles in your hand; for instance, a red 3 equates to three points, while a black 11 equates to eleven points. The game concludes either when no more tiles are available to draw or when a player successfully completes their hand.

Getting Started with the Game

To begin, a dealer is chosen who distributes 21 stones to each player, except for the player to their immediate right who receives 22 stones. The remaining stones are placed face down on the table, with one stone turned face up to determine the joker (OKEY piece). Gameplay proceeds counterclockwise, starting with the player to the dealer's right, who has 22 stones and initiates play by discarding a stone without drawing one. Subsequent players can either draw a tile from the deck or pick up the last discarded tile. If a player's hand totals 101 points, they can 'open' their hand by arranging and placing their series on the table. If unable to open, they end their turn by discarding a tile. Players must always end their turn by discarding a stone, even if they've opened their entire hand.

Joker (Okey Stone or Riziko)

The joker, or Okey stone, changes with each game. Two fake jokers represent the number one higher than the face-up tile. For example, if the indicator tile is a blue 5, the real jokers are the two blue 6s in play. Fake jokers are visually distinct from standard pieces and are valued as the number they represent.

Deals and Showing Hands

To open a hand, you must accumulate at least 101 points, achieved through sets of 3 or 4 tiles of different colors with the same numbers (e.g., black 5, red 5, and blue 5) or a sequential set of the same color (e.g., red 7, 8, 9). Sets must contain at least three tiles. Players can open their hand and add to existing sets during the same game. If a player picks up a discarded tile, they must use it immediately. If they haven't opened their hand yet, they must do so upon picking up the tile and include it in one of their sets. If the tile cannot be used, it's returned, and a new tile is drawn from the deck without incurring penalty points.

Doubles

An alternative way to open your hand is by collecting at least five pairs of tiles. Once a player opens their hand with doubles, they cannot open a normal set in the same game but can add tiles to sets opened by others. This strategy adds an exciting layer of complexity to the game, keeping every match fresh and engaging.
