WoW Classic Announces Launch Date for Season of Discovery Phase 7

World of Warcraft Classic: Season of Discovery Phase 7 Unveiled

Blizzard has announced that the seventh and final phase of World of Warcraft Classic's Season of Discovery will commence on January 28, bringing exciting new content for players. This phase will introduce the Karazhan Crypts dungeon and the Scourge Invasions event, with the highly anticipated Naxxramas raid opening its doors shortly after on February 6.

Key Highlights of Phase 7:

• Launch Date: Season of Discovery Phase 7 will go live on January 28, following server maintenance.
• New Content: Players can explore the Karazhan Crypts dungeon, a 5-player experience located in Deadwind Pass. Additionally, the Scourge Invasions event will see undead monsters flooding various zones and cities across Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms.
• Scourge Invasion Quests: New quests related to the Scourge Invasion will be available at Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands, with players able to collect Necrotic Runes from undead enemies to purchase new consumable items.
• Naxxramas Raid: Guilds can challenge the Naxxramas raid starting February 6. This raid introduces an "Empower" difficulty option, adding extra challenges for those seeking a tougher experience. After conquering the four wings of Naxxramas, players will face the final showdown in the Frostwyrm Lair against Sapphiron and Kel'thuzad.
• New Runes: Upon the launch of Phase 7, new runes will be available from Rune Brokers in starting zones and capital cities, enhancing player abilities.

Phase 7 comes just two months after Phase 6, which took players to Silithus for the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest chain and the Ahn'qiraj raids. During Phase 6, players encountered a mysterious Shadowy Figure in the desert ruins, speculated to be Xal'atath from World of Warcraft: The War Within. While the figure only made brief comments about the Old Gods, it remains uncertain whether this character will make a final appearance in Phase 7.

Even as Season of Discovery reaches its conclusion, World of Warcraft Classic is set for a busy 2025 with ongoing content across all versions. Blizzard's future plans for Seasonal realms remain a topic of anticipation among the player community.
