Squares

Maximize your word count to achieve victory! Squares is a daily word puzzle and strategy game where the objective is to complete squares on a grid to form words.

Gameplay: Connect letters in any direction—up, down, left, right, or diagonally—to create words. The aim is to uncover all words hidden within the letter grid and accumulate the highest possible score.

Game Rules:

• Scoring: Each letter in a valid word earns one point (e.g., a five-letter word scores five points).
• Word Length: Words must contain at least four letters.
• Letter Usage: Each tile can only be used once per word.
• Invalid Words: Words with hyphens, proper nouns, offensive language, or uncommon terms are excluded.

Bonus Words: The puzzle includes obscure, archaic, or slang terms. These bonus words don't contribute to your score but are listed separately. You can continue searching for them even after finding all the main words. Each puzzle also features a "Word of the Day," a special, often longer bonus word, which grants two extra hints upon successful identification.

Daily Puzzle: A new Squares puzzle is available every day at midnight.

Grid Rotation: Rotate the grid left or right using the buttons in the bottom-right corner for a fresh perspective. Changing your view can help you discover more words.

Letter Hints: After finding 40% of the words, a hint is provided: a number next to each letter indicates how many words begin with that letter. The absence of a number means no words start with that letter. Letters turning orange signify they've been used in all main words but might still appear in bonus words.

Hints System: Each puzzle offers 3 to 5 hints (lightbulb icons). Using a hint reveals the first letter of a random word and its search direction. The number of hints varies based on puzzle difficulty. Sharing the game link with friends earns you one additional hint!
