Winter Update 3.0: Anime Vanguards Revamps Lobby, Introduces New Portals Mode

Roblox developer Kitawari has rolled out the Anime Vanguards Winter Update 3.0, introducing a wide array of enhancements to the game’s unit system, lobby environment, and gameplay mechanics. This update brings a fresh wave of content designed to keep players engaged throughout the winter season and beyond.

One of the most immediate changes is the completely revamped lobby, which now offers significantly more space for anime fans to gather and prepare before diving into battle. Alongside this visual overhaul comes a remastered UI experience, including a sleeker and more intuitive stage selection interface. According to Kitawari’s patch notes, the team listened closely to community feedback about the previous lobby being too cramped and lacking room for new features. The updated version now includes a customizable Day and Night cycle accessible via Settings—offering a visually dynamic start to every session.

New Game Modes & Unit Additions

A major highlight of Anime Vanguards Winter Update 3.0 is the introduction of two brand-new game modes: Portals and Sandbox Mode. The Portals mode introduces unique mechanics that encourage players to experiment with strategies while climbing through tiers to unlock exclusive rewards such as new familiars, secret portal units, and winter-themed currency. Using winter units and skins in this mode increases team damage output and boosts currency gains, making it an ideal playground for both casual and competitive players.

Sandbox Mode gives players full creative freedom by allowing unrestricted use of any unit, enemy spawning options, infinite money, and stat adjustments. It's perfect for testing builds, experimenting with combos, or just having fun without limitations.
