Following the conclusion of World of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary event, players can look forward to the return of the Turbulent Timeways event, offering engaging activities bridging the gap until Patch 11.1. This event, previously featured during Dragonflight, presents a unique opportunity to earn valuable rewards.
Turbulent Timeways Event Details
Unlike the typical staggered schedule of weekly Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways features a concentrated series of five consecutive Timewalking events running from January 1st to February 25th. Each week highlights dungeons from a different expansion:
- Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (January 7th-14th)
- Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (January 14th-21st)
- Week 3: Legion (January 21st-28th)
- Week 4: Classic (January 28th-February 4th)
- Week 5: The Burning Crusade (February 4th-11th)
- Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (February 11th-18th)
- Week 7: Cataclysm (February 18th-25th)
Completing a Timewalking dungeon grants a stack of the "Knowledge of Timeways" buff. This two-hour buff (persisting through death) provides a five percent experience bonus for monster kills and quest completions. Accumulating four stacks upgrades the buff to "Mastery of Timeways," a three-hour buff (also persisting through death) offering a 30 percent experience increase. Completing another Timewalking dungeon refreshes the buff timer. Maintaining four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways without expiration is crucial for obtaining Mastery of Timeways. Avoid extended AFK periods to prevent buff decay.
Turbulent Timeways Rewards
Beyond the leveling benefits of the experience buffs, Turbulent Timeways offers attractive rewards. Players can purchase the Sandy Shalewing mount from Timewalking vendors for 5,000 Timewarped Badges—a returning reward from the Dragonflight event.
A new mount, the Timely Buzzbee, is also available. To earn this mount, players must acquire the Mastery of Timeways buff during five of the seven event weeks.
