Gaijin Entertainment has revealed exciting news for War Thunder players: the Firebirds update, arriving early November, introduces a host of new aircraft and other military hardware. This substantial update features some iconic additions to the game's roster.
New Aircraft: A Trio of Titans
Among the new additions are aviation heavyweights: the stealthy American F-117A Nighthawk, the versatile Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber, and the powerful F-15E Strike Eagle. These are joined by new ground and naval units, such as the British FV107 Scimitar light tank and the French Dunkerque battleship.
Let's examine these additions individually. The F-117A Nighthawk marks War Thunder's first stealth aircraft. Its unique design, incorporating angled surfaces and radar-absorbent materials, allows it to evade radar and infrared detection. Its performance in Operation Desert Storm, achieving over 1,200 combat sorties without loss, underscores its capabilities.
The F-15E Strike Eagle, on the other hand, prioritizes sheer firepower. This enhanced F-15 variant boasts a 50% larger payload capacity and a ground target detection radar. Its arsenal includes AGM-65 Maverick missiles, laser-guided bombs, JDAMs, and the GBU-39 satellite-guided bombs (delivering 20 in a single drop). Its inclusion reflects the aircraft's prominent role in the U.S. Air Force.
More Than Just Planes: Ground and Naval Forces
Beyond the aircraft, the Firebirds update bolsters War Thunder's ground and naval forces. New additions include the agile British FV107 Scimitar tank and the French Dunkerque battleship.
The ongoing Aces High season provides additional opportunities. Players can unlock unique vehicles, trophies, and rewards by completing the season and Battle Pass. These rewards range from aircraft like the Bf 109 G-14, F2G-1, and La-11, to powerful platoons such as the T54E2 and G6, and ships including the HMS Orion and USS Billfish.
Download War Thunder Mobile from the Google Play Store and prepare for the arrival of these new aircraft and vehicles.
