Patch Quest from Lychee Game has arrived on Android, published by Crunchyroll. The title first launched in early access on PC in May 2021, followed by its full release in March 2023. It masterfully blends elements from multiple genres, including roguelike, bullet hell, metroidvania, and monster-taming.
Explore a Shuffling Patchwork Maze Full of Monsters in Patch Quest
The adventure unfolds on Patchlantis, a mysterious island stitched together from different patches. Each new run completely randomizes the island's layout, ensuring every expedition feels fresh and unique.
Your trusty lasso is your sole constant companion, serving a far greater purpose than a simple tool—it's your lifeline. Use it to capture and befriend over 50 distinct monster species, with even more variations when you factor in their unique subspecies. This diversity opens up countless strategies for navigation and survival in tough battles.
Every monster you befriend can be tamed and ridden, transforming them into essential vehicles for traversing dangerous terrain. Some take to the skies, others navigate watery depths, while a few burrow underground or slip through narrow passages. For example, the Buzzerker launches itself like a living harpoon. The Sandamander digs to safety, the Torrentoise uses its shell to deflect incoming attacks, and the Combusdile can create protective walls of flame.

How’s the Combat?
Combat is a relentless bullet-hell experience, where screens fill with enemy projectiles as you master your mount's abilities. Each attempt teaches you something new, whether it's discovering a shortcut, strengthening a companion, or deepening your understanding of the island's rules.
Over 200 different plants and minerals are scattered across Patchlantis. You can harvest fruits and blend them into powerful "ammo smoothies" for temporary buffs. These resources are also key to unlocking new gear that expands your mobility and tactical options.
If you're a Crunchyroll subscriber, you can download Patch Quest now from the Google Play Store.
