Artifact Detectors in Stalker 2
- Echo Detector - The Basic Detector:
This yellow device, your starting detector, uses a strobe light and beeping to indicate proximity to artifacts. The intensity increases as you approach the artifact, but pinpointing the exact location can be time-consuming.
- Bear Detector - An Enhanced Echo:
Obtained during the "A Sign of Hope" side mission or from vendors, the Bear detector improves upon the Echo by providing a visual distance indicator. Concentric rings illuminate, indicating proximity; full illumination signals the artifact's location.
- Hilka Detector - Precision Locating:
Acquired during the "Mysterious Case" side mission from Sultan, the Hilka uses numerical readings to show artifact proximity. Decreasing numbers indicate closer proximity.
- Veles Detector - The Ultimate Detector:
The top-tier detector, rewarded for completing the "In Search of Past Glory" main mission. Its radar displays the artifact's precise location and also highlights nearby hazardous anomalies.
