Can’t get enough of Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan’s new crime drama? Craving another season of Helen Mirren owning the screen? Good news—Paramount+ has officially renewed MobLand for Season 2.
According to the streamer, 26 million viewers have tuned in since the series premiered on March 30, making the renewal decision an easy one—especially with such A-list talent leading the cast. Paramount+ says MobLand is now the second most-watched original series ever launched on its platform.
Joining Hardy, Brosnan, and Mirren are House of the Dragon’s Paddy Considine and Downton Abbey’s Joanne Froggatt, starring in a series centered on Harry Da Souza, played by Hardy, a fixer working for Conrad Harrigan—portrayed by Brosnan—and his London crime family. The show’s official synopsis states it “showcases two generations of gangsters, their businesses, the relationships they weave and the man they call to fix their problems.”

"With over 26 million viewers and climbing, MobLand has become a resounding triumph driven by the creative brilliance of [producers] Guy [Ritchie], Jez [Butterworth], Ronan [Bennett] and David C. Glasser, and brought to life by the powerhouse performances by Tom, Pierce, and Helen," Chris McCarthy, co-CEO of Paramount and president of Showtime/MTV Entertainment, explained. "We are elated to greenlight a second season of this global phenomenon, which has dominated both domestic and international charts and soared to #1 in the United Kingdom.”
The show holds a strong 75% rating on Rotten Tomatoes for Season 1 and is currently streaming—but no official return date has been announced for Season 2.
In May, while promoting MobLand, Hardy revealed that years of physically demanding roles in films like Venom, Mad Max: Fury Road, and The Dark Knight Rises have taken a heavy toll on his body as he enters his 50s.
“I’ve had two knee surgeries now, my disc’s herniated in my back, I’ve got sciatica too,” the 47-year-old said.
“And I’ve got this… is it plantar fasciitis? Where did that come from? And why? Why?! Plus, I pulled a tendon in my hip. It’s like everything’s falling apart now—and it’s not going to get better.”
