Marvel's animated "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" series, chronicling Peter Parker's freshman year, has already secured renewals for Seasons 2 and 3!
Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, revealed in an interview with The Movie Podcast that Season 2's scripts are complete, with storyboards halfway done, even before Season 1's premiere on January 29th. Season 3 is also officially greenlit.
Winderbaum expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters...we're halfway through the animatics. What [lead writer and executive producer Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off...it just gets deeper and deeper in subsequent seasons."
He mentioned upcoming meetings with Trammell to discuss Season 3's storyline, although release dates for either Season 2 or 3 remain undisclosed.
