Spider-Man 4 Gets Small Delay to Move Clear of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey

The upcoming Tom Holland Spider-Man film has been pushed back a week, likely to avoid clashing with Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey.

Sony's revised release schedule now lists the fourth Spider-Man movie for July 31st, 2026, instead of the previously announced July 24th. This provides a two-week gap between the Spider-Man film and The Odyssey, offering both films better access to IMAX screens – a priority for Nolan.

This scheduling adjustment benefits both films, especially considering Tom Holland's involvement in both projects.

Marvel confirmed a fourth Spider-Man movie starring Holland, slated as the next Marvel release after Avengers: Doomsday (May 1st, 2026). Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi) will direct, taking over from his previous commitment to the next Avengers film following storyline adjustments related to the Kang character.

Interestingly, the Russo Brothers have returned to helm Avengers: Doomsday, with Robert Downey Jr. cast as Doctor Doom.
