Devolver Digital's impressive Android game library, boasting titles like GRIS, Reigns: Her Majesty, and Downwell, is about to get even better. The acclaimed "reverse-horror" game, Carrion, is making its mobile debut on October 31st.
Initially released on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in July 2020, Carrion offers a unique take on the horror genre. Developed by Phobia Game Studio and published by Devolver Digital, this mobile version promises the same chilling experience.
What Awaits in Carrion Mobile?
Become the nightmare. In Carrion, you control a monstrous, amorphous red blob, wreaking havoc and consuming everything in its path. This "reverse horror" experience puts you in the role of the monster, escaping a high-security Relith Science research facility after a disastrous experiment.
You'll stalk scientists, security personnel, and anyone else who gets in your way, using your tentacles to crawl through vents, smash doors, and unleash chaos. The mobile version retains the satisfying blend of exploration and destruction found in the original. Progressing through the game unlocks upgrades, allowing you to overcome obstacles and grow in size.

Fans of Metroidvania-style games will find much to appreciate in Carrion's blend of exploration and progression. The pixel art style gives the game a surprisingly charming aesthetic, despite the gruesome subject matter.
Carrion on mobile offers a free trial; the complete game and its DLC are available via a single in-app purchase. Pre-register now on the Google Play Store, or download it directly on October 31st.
