Ubisoft's Six Invitational concluded with the unveiling of Rainbow Six Siege's newest addition: Rauora, an attack operator hailing from New Zealand. A key feature is her DOM launcher, a deployable, bulletproof shield specifically designed for doorways. While indestructible by gunfire, explosives can breach it. The shield's activation speed varies depending on the shooter: one second for attackers, three seconds for defenders – a potentially game-changing difference, especially during defuser plants.

Rauora also brings the Reaper MK2, a new fully automatic pistol equipped with a red dot sight and high-capacity magazine, to the game. Players can also choose between the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle as primary weapons.
Rauora will be playable on the test servers within the next week, with a wider release on the live servers to follow.
