Troubleshooting Path of Exile 2 PC Freezes: A Guide

Several in-game settings adjustments may resolve the issue:
- Graphics API: Switch between Vulkan and DirectX 11 at launch.
- V-Sync: Disable V-Sync in the graphics options.
- Multithreading: Disable multithreading in the graphics settings.
Advanced Solution (Requires Manual Steps):
If the above steps fail, a more involved solution, suggested by Steam user svzanghi, can help avoid complete system freezes, although it requires repeating the process for each game session:
- Launch the game.
- Open Task Manager: Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc. Click "Details."
- Adjust CPU Affinity: Right-click on
POE2.exe. Select "Set Affinity." - Disable Cores: Uncheck the boxes for CPU 0 and CPU 1.
This method allows you to force-quit the game through Task Manager, restarting it without a full PC reboot. However, you must repeat steps 2-4 each time you start Path of Exile 2. Otherwise, further freezing may necessitate a full system restart.
