NieR: Automata Resource Management: Farming Dented Plates
While resource abundance varies in NieR: Automata, the demand for materials, especially for weapon upgrades, remains high. Dented Plates, a frequently required material, can be farmed efficiently using several strategies.
Efficient Dented Plate Farming Locations
Dented Plates are commonly dropped by:
- Small Biped (all variants)
- Small Flyer (all variants)
- Small Sphere (all variants)
These common enemies are prevalent throughout the game. However, relying solely on random encounters isn't the most efficient method.
The Optimal Farming Spot: Adam's Arena
The most effective location is the pit where you first encounter Adam.
- Fast travel to the Desert: Housing Complex access point.
- Proceed deeper into the ruins.
- Descend to the pit.
Here, enemies continuously respawn, providing a consistent supply of Small Bipeds, the primary Dented Plate source. Even lower-level enemies in this area offer a decent drop rate. This location is also advantageous for Titanium Alloy farming.
Alternative Farming Locations
For a less concentrated approach:
- Forest Kingdom: Groups of spear-wielding Bipeds frequently drop Dented Plates. This area also offers opportunities for Beast Hide acquisition.
- Higher-level enemies: Progressing through the game increases the chances of encountering higher-level Bipeds with a better Dented Plate drop rate.
Maximize Your Yield
Equipping drop-rate boosting plug-in chips significantly increases your Dented Plate yield. Remember to avoid death to prevent permanent chip loss.
