Myst-Like Lovecraftian Point-And-Click Puzzle My Father Lied Is Coming to Android This Year

In today's saturated gaming market, finding a truly unique game can be a challenge. However, My Father Lied stands out with its compelling narrative and intriguing blend of mystery and Lovecraftian elements. This puzzle adventure game boasts a captivating story that sets it apart from the crowd.

My Father Lied: An Indie Developer's Vision

The game's creation story is as fascinating as the game itself. Developer Ahmed Alameen wasn't initially a game developer. In 2020, he was establishing himself as a writer and filmmaker. A collaborative game project with a college friend fell through, but the story idea remained.

Undeterred, Alameen embarked on a solo journey, teaching himself 3D modeling and Unreal Engine to bring his vision to life. Even the game's title was a collaborative effort with his wife.

Unveiling the Game's Narrative

The game plunges players into a captivating mystery steeped in ancient Mesopotamian myths, brimming with secrets, puzzles, and unexpected twists.

Players assume the role of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: what happened to her father? As the story unfolds, the answer proves far from straightforward.

Drawing inspiration from 7,000 years of Mesopotamian culture, My Father Lied masterfully blends ancient lore with modern storytelling. The gameplay features simple point-and-click mechanics, beautiful 2D visuals, and immersive 360-degree imagery.
