Marvel Rivals Reveals New Game Mode, New Maps, and Battle Pass Details for Season 1

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – New Heroes, Maps, and Game Mode Unveiled

NetEase Games recently unveiled exciting details about Marvel Rivals Season 1, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST. This three-month season introduces Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist) from the Fantastic Four, with The Thing and Human Torch arriving six to seven weeks later. The Baxter Building will feature prominently in a new map.

The Season 1 battle pass, priced at 990 Lattice, offers 10 new character skins and a rewarding return of 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion. A new arcade-style game mode, "Doom Match," debuts alongside three new maps:

  • Empire of the Eternal Night: Sanctum Sanctorum: Featured in the Doom Match mode.
  • Empire of the Eternal Night: Midtown: Designed for convoy missions.
  • Empire of the Eternal Night: Central Park: Launching mid-season.

Key Features of Season 1:

  • New Playable Characters: Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, The Thing (later), Human Torch (later).
  • New Maps: Three new maps based on the "Empire of the Eternal Night" theme.
  • New Game Mode: Doom Match – a large-scale battle royale style mode for 8-12 players.
  • Battle Pass Rewards: 10 new skins, 600 Lattice, and 600 Units.

The developers highlighted their commitment to player feedback, acknowledging concerns about character balance (e.g., Hawkeye's ranged advantage) and promising adjustments in the first half of the season. While rumors of a PvE mode circulate, NetEase Games didn't address them in this announcement. The anticipation for Season 1: Eternal Night Falls is high among Marvel Rivals players.
