KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Officially Shuts Down After 3.5-Year Run
Another gacha game bites the dust! KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global, developed by Sumzap and published by Nexon (later Sesisoft), officially ended its service on January 30th. While a relatively short lifespan compared to its Japanese counterpart (5 years), its 3.5-year run is respectable for an anime-based gacha title, especially considering declining revenue in recent times.
The developers have transitioned their focus to the Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade gacha game. Despite the shutdown, they maintained active support until the very end, including voiced story updates and a final song release just three weeks prior. A farewell livestream in December even featured Kazuma's voice actor.
The Japanese version offers an impressive offline version preserving the main story, voice lines, and character collection on their YouTube channel. Unfortunately, the Global version lacks this offline option and dedicated YouTube archive. However, fans can still access the Japanese YouTube channel to relive the adventures of Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and the rest of the crew.
This concludes our coverage of the KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global shutdown. Stay tuned for our next update on the February Community Day in Pokémon Go, featuring Karrablast and Shelmet.
