Activist groups have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of subpoenas within the game, sparking a campaign to cancel the project. The controversy gained traction after reports surfaced online about the game's ban in Saudi Arabia, fueling speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes.
This led to a wave of online attacks against the developers, with calls to boycott Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and discourage support for Warhorse Studios.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to these allegations, urging the public to rely on official statements and not to spread misinformation found online.
Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes would be distributed in the coming days, following the game's "gold master" status achieved in early December. These codes are expected to be released approximately four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their content.
Interestingly, the first "final previews," based on sections of the review build, are anticipated a week after the initial code distribution.
