Jump King, the 2D platformer that has become a rite of passage for gamers who enjoy a good challenge—and perhaps a rage-quit—has now made its way to mobile devices. Developed by Nexile and published by UKIYO Publishing, the game has been released globally for both Android and iOS platforms following a brief testing period in select regions.
Initially soft-launched as a free-to-play game in the UK, Canada, the Philippines, and Denmark back in March, Jump King on mobile retains the brutal jumping mechanics that made it famous on PC and consoles, where it was released in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
What's Jump King on Mobile Like?
In Jump King, you embody an armored character with a singular mission: to jump. Sounds simple, right? Far from it. Each jump must be executed with pinpoint precision; any mistake sends you tumbling back to the start. Every jump is autosaved, intensifying the stakes.
Your ultimate goal is to ascend to the top and encounter the legendary Smoking Hot Babe. But beware, she's not here to offer any shortcuts. A single miscalculated leap could mean starting your climb all over again.
The game's controls have been meticulously adapted for mobile devices, ensuring accuracy is maintained. Players need only hold to charge their jump and release to soar. Jump King is a test of precision, patience, and occasionally, panic and poor decision-making.
What Else Should You Know?
Jump King Mobile operates on a heart-based system, starting players off with 300 hearts. Each fall costs you a heart. You can replenish your hearts by spinning a daily fortune wheel, potentially earning between 10 and 150 hearts, or by watching ads, with a limit of 150 free hearts available through this method.
The mobile version also includes two full expansions. "New Babe+" introduces a second chapter with a bizarre and intense new path, while "Ghost of the Babe" offers a haunting third act set in a desolate landscape beyond Philosopher’s Forest.
If Jump King piques your interest, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
