Hollow Knight Silksong creators troll the community with a “delicious teaser”

The long-awaited Hollow Knight Silksong continues to elude a firm release date, much to the amusement (and frustration) of its dedicated fanbase. Team Cherry, the developers, recently added fuel to the speculation fire with a cryptic image.

A simple picture of a single cake was shared by Team Cherry members, sparking immediate speculation of an Alternate Reality Game (ARG) among enthusiastic fans. Theories and "slender theories" abounded.

However, Team Cherry quickly dispelled these hopes, clarifying that the cake image was not part of an ARG.

Despite the official statement, some fans remain unconvinced, clinging to the belief that Team Cherry is orchestrating a larger reveal, possibly a full game presentation, perhaps as early as April. Meanwhile, the development continues, and the release date remains shrouded in mystery.

For those unfamiliar, Hollow Knight, Team Cherry's critically acclaimed predecessor, is a captivating action-adventure game. Players control a silent knight navigating the sprawling, interconnected world of Hallownest, a decaying underground kingdom brimming with challenging combat, intricate puzzles, and rich lore.
