Hidden Fighter in Mortal Kombat 1 Pays Homage to Rock Legend

This week's Mortal Kombat 1 update brought a surprise addition to the roster: Conan the Barbarian. But the real unexpected guest is a pink-clad ninja named Floyd, a secret fighter who's anything but a joke.

Floyd is a clear homage to Pink Floyd, his introduction echoing the band's iconic Dark Side of the Moon album cover. Interestingly, his moveset is a medley of other ninjas' techniques – think Sub-Zero's freezing abilities and Scorpion's spear attacks. He even boasts a quirky 1337 health points.

This secret character evokes memories of Reptile, the hidden fighter in the original Mortal Kombat game, whose moves were also a blend of other ninjas.

Unlocking Floyd currently appears somewhat random, though he offers clues to the required challenges. The community is actively working to decipher the exact method for triggering this encounter, but a definitive solution remains elusive.
