Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack: Four Classic Games Join the Lineup
Beat 'em Ups, Racing, Puzzles, and Dodgeball!
Prepare for a nostalgic gaming adventure! Nintendo has unveiled four fantastic SNES games from the early 90s, bringing diverse gameplay to the ever-growing Switch Online library. Expect intense beat 'em up action, adrenaline-pumping racing, challenging puzzles, and chaotic dodgeball fun.
First up: the epic crossover, Battletoads/Double Dragon. Team up with the Battletoads and the Double Dragon brothers to defeat the Dark Queen and her Shadow Warriors. Choose from five playable characters, including Billy and Jimmy Lee, and the amphibian trio Zitz, Pimple, and Rash.
Originally released on NES in 1993, then ported to SNES later that year, this marks a long-awaited re-release.
Next, get ready for some dodgeball mayhem in Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen’in Shūgō! (known as Super Dodgeball in the West). This River City Ransom spin-off pits you against global rivals in various arenas, from indoor stadiums to outdoor beaches. Master the courts and their unique challenges!
Initially launched on Super Famicom in August 1993.
Puzzle fans rejoice! Cosmo Gang the Puzzle tests your strategic skills in a Tetris/Puyo Puyo-style experience. Clear lines of containers and Cosmos to score big. Choose from 1P Mode (solo), VS Mode (head-to-head), or 100 Stage Mode for a true challenge. Line up containers horizontally and use the descending blue orbs to remove Cosmos.
Initially an arcade hit in 1992, it later appeared on Super Famicom, various Virtual Consoles, and more recently on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
Finally, experience the thrill of Big Run! Race across challenging African terrain, from Tripoli to West Africa's swamps. Nine intense stages will test your driving skills and strategic thinking. Choose your sponsor, build your team, and manage resources carefully – every mishap is a gamble against the clock.
