Gamer Pays Nearly $100,000 to Be Part of The Elder Scrolls VI

Bethesda and Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic recently teamed up for a special fan initiative impacting the development of the upcoming Elder Scrolls VI RPG.

An anonymous fan won the chance to have a character in TES VI modeled after themselves or based on their own design, placing a winning bid of $85,450. The auction saw participation from individual players and large fan communities like UESP and The Imperial Library, who attempted to honor community member Lorrane Pairrel but were outbid at approximately $60,000.

Bethesda hasn't disclosed details about the winning character's role, sparking much fan speculation. Some express concerns about potential lore inconsistencies, while others view it as positive community engagement. Meanwhile, ongoing leaks suggest TES VI will feature advanced shipbuilding, naval combat, and the return of dragons.
