At the time of this publication, some U.S. Apple users might face challenges locating Fortnite directly through the App Store's search feature. However, Epic assures that this will be rectified “soon.” In the meantime, you can access its revived store page directly. For those in the E.U., Fortnite is also available for download via the Epic Games Store and AltStore.
The return of Fortnite to iOS devices signifies the resolution of a long-standing feud between Epic and Apple. The conflict began in August 2020 when both Google and Apple removed Fortnite from their respective digital stores. This action followed Epic's introduction of an update that decreased the price of V-Bucks while adding a direct payment system, challenging the "exorbitant" store fees charged by Apple and Google.
The ensuing legal battle kept Fortnite absent from official storefronts for millions of players. The saga took a turn in April when Epic CEO Tim Sweeney announced that Fortnite would make its return to the iOS App Store in early May, following a decision from a U.S. Federal District Court in California. Despite a bump in the road involving continued blocking from Apple, Fortnite has now triumphantly returned to iOS devices after five years.
Players who download Fortnite on their Apple devices will now have the flexibility to purchase V-Bucks either through the Epic Games Store or via in-app purchases. For instance, those opting for the 2,800 V-Bucks pack priced at $22.99 can choose to send their payment directly to Epic, receiving $4.60 (or 20%) back to spend on other Epic offerings.

Despite its innovative appeal, the bot has faced controversy, with players discovering ways to make it utter profanities. This led to the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) filing an unfair labor practice charge against Epic yesterday.
