According to data from SteamDB, the game reached 297,313 players at launch, quickly climbing to 313,593 within 60 minutes—marking one of the most successful multiplayer launches of the year.
While this number represents roughly one-third of the original Elden Ring's all-time peak on Steam, it's still an impressive milestone, especially considering Nightreign's current Metacritic score of 77. This makes it the lowest-rated FromSoftware title in recent years, following critically acclaimed releases like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (90), Elden Ring (96), and Armored Core VI (86).
