Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has now launched its third season of year six, dubbed "Burden of Truth," inviting players to dive deeper into the narrative. Agents will embark on a thrilling quest to locate Kelso across Washington, D.C., guided by her enigmatic clues. As they progress, players will uncover more about Lau's recruitment process and the mysterious "Cassandra" mission, enriching the game's storyline.
A highlight of this season is the innovative Rogue Momentum system, which revolutionizes combat by promoting aggressive playstyles. Players can build momentum by defeating enemies and achieving combat objectives. While standard kills provide a small boost, critical hits, skill combinations, multi-kills, and defeating elite foes significantly increase momentum growth. As players accumulate momentum, they gain enhanced abilities like accelerated movement, reduced reload times, increased damage output, and faster firing rates. At its peak, the Overcharge feature activates, dramatically reducing ability cooldowns and intensifying the action.
Alongside these dynamic combat enhancements, "Burden of Truth" introduces new weaponry and gear. Players who own the Warlords of New York DLC and Year 1 Pass benefit from an expanded inventory with an additional 50 slots. New items include the exotic SMG Oxpecker and the tactical Exodus gloves. Additionally, the introduction of two new brands, Refactor and Shiny Monkey, offers fresh gear options. Named weapons such as the Rusty Classic RPK-74 and Goalie FAL come with unique talents, allowing players to customize and optimize their builds. Available on all platforms, Ubisoft is keen to gather player feedback to enhance future updates.
