AFK Journey is a free-to-play RPG with regular seasonal content updates. Every few months, a new season introduces a new map, story content, and new heroes. Here's the release date for the new AFK Journey season, "Chains of Eternity."

Chains of Eternity Season Release Date
The global version of AFK Journey will launch the Chains of Eternity season on January 17th.
Other regions and game versions will receive the update provided their server is at least 35 days old and the following conditions are met:
- Reach Resonance level 240.
- Complete all pre-season AFK stages.
Meeting these requirements and having a server older than 35 days ensures access to the new season on the official release date.
What's New in Chains of Eternity?
Beyond a new map and story, Chains of Eternity adds several new heroes and bosses to AFK Journey:
- Lorsan (Wilder)
- Elijah and Lailah (Celestial)
- Illucia (Dream Realm boss)
Additional seasonal changes include a daily cap on AFK progress, Paragon level adjustments, and Exclusive Equipment modifications. Paragon levels will have a significantly greater impact, and upgrading Exclusive Equipment from +15 to +20 will provide a substantial boost. This means investing in existing Supreme+ units yields higher returns, although the investment cost increases significantly beyond +15.
