MotorSim 2: Your Land Vehicle Performance Calculator

MotorSim 2 is a powerful performance calculator for land vehicles. This app is a physics simulator, not a driving game; it focuses solely on simulating straight-line acceleration performance.

Configure your vehicle's technical specifications within MotorSim 2 and instantly calculate the resulting performance. The interactive simulator features a speedometer, RPM meter, throttle, brake, and gear shift (manual or automatic). Enjoy a procedurally generated engine sound (not sample-based) and visualize your vehicle's progress along a 1/4-mile track segment. Save ghost runs to easily compare different vehicle setups and performance modifications.

Configurable Vehicle Parameters:

  • Maximum Power
  • Power Curve (defined point-by-point)
  • Torque Curve (calculated automatically from the power curve, since power = torque * rpm)
  • Maximum Engine RPM (ignition cutoff)
  • Gear Configuration (up to 10 gears)
  • Resistances (Cd, frontal area, and rolling resistance coefficients)
  • Vehicle Weight
  • Tire Size
  • Shift Time
  • Transmission Efficiency

Calculated Performance Parameters:

  • Maximum Speed
  • Acceleration 0-60, 0-100, 0-200, 0-300 km/h (and beyond)
  • Many other performance metrics measurable via the interactive simulator.
