FortiToken Mobile

FortiToken Mobile is a robust One-Time Password (OTP) generator app designed for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on your mobile device. As an OATH-compliant solution, it supports both event-based and time-based OTPs, serving as a client component in Fortinet's comprehensive security suite. To validate these OTPs, you'll need to integrate with FortiOS, FortiAuthenticator, or FortiToken Cloud as your OTP validation server or service.

Privacy and Control:

Your privacy is a top priority with FortiToken Mobile. The app cannot alter your phone's settings, capture photos or videos, record or transmit audio, or access your emails. It does not monitor your browsing history and needs your explicit permission to send notifications or adjust settings. Importantly, FortiToken Mobile cannot perform a remote wipe of your device. Its visibility is limited to checking your OS version for app compatibility purposes. During manual installations of FortiToken tokens, third-party tokens, or token transfers, you may enter sensitive details like your email address or token seeds.

While FortiToken Mobile requires your consent to change settings, here are the permissions necessary for its operations:

• Camera Access: Used for scanning QR codes to simplify token activation.
• TouchID/FaceID: Enhances app security.
• Internet Access: Essential for token activation and receiving push notifications.
• "Send Feedback by Email": Automatically fills the "Sender" field for your convenience.
• File Sharing: Allows sharing files between apps to attach to feedback emails.
• Keep Device Awake: Ensures the phone stays active during internal database upgrades to prevent data corruption.
