Fireboy and Watergirl is a beloved two-player game among children, standing out in the vast world of online and flash games. The duo finds themselves in mysterious temples, working together to solve puzzles and escape. You can play alone, switching between characters, or enjoy the game with a friend or sibling, each controlling a different character.

In each temple, Fireboy and Watergirl must navigate through fire and water. Fireboy can safely traverse lava but must avoid water, while Watergirl can move through water but should steer clear of lava. Both must be cautious of spikes. The objective is to reach the doors at the end of each screen—Fireboy to the red door and Watergirl to the blue door—while collecting diamonds that match their colors. Speed and efficiency will earn you higher scores and rankings.

To solve each puzzle, you'll need to activate buttons to operate lifts, move boxes and bricks to reach higher areas, and flip switches. The game isn't just about running and jumping; it's about teamwork. One character might need to hold down a switch or platform to help the other progress, and then you must find a way to reunite them. Some levels require speed, others simultaneous movement of both characters, and some demand collecting special items before exiting. At the end of each level, you'll receive a performance grade. You can revisit levels to improve your score or hone your skills with fire and water.
