Damasi Rules

• Setup: The game is played on an 8×8 board with 16 pieces (men) lined up on each side in two rows, leaving the back row empty.
• Movement: Men can move forward or sideways one square. They capture by jumping over an opponent's piece to an empty square beyond. Men cannot move backwards. Upon reaching the back row, a man is promoted to a king, which can move any number of squares forwards, backwards, or sideways.
• Capturing: Pieces are removed immediately after being jumped. If a jump is possible, it must be taken. When multiple jumps are possible, the player must choose the sequence that captures the most pieces. There is no distinction between kings and men during capture; each counts as one piece.
• End of Game: The game ends when a player has no legal moves left, either due to all pieces being captured or being completely blocked. The opponent then wins the game.
• Unique Rules: Unlike other draughts variants, pieces are removed immediately after being jumped, allowing for the same square to be crossed multiple times in a single capturing sequence. However, within a multi-capture, turning 180 degrees between captures is not permitted.
