Unlike other chess AI mobile games, ChessCraft stands out by allowing you to craft wildly imaginative boards and pieces, and then immediately test your creations against a capable computer opponent. Design new pieces with a mix of bishop or rook slides, and a 7x7 grid of knight-like hops. You can even enhance or restrict the abilities of nearby pieces. Create expansive boards up to 16x16 with enabled or disabled tiles, and set unique promotion rules for any piece, anywhere. Add special tile rules like witch windows (teleporters), sanctuaries, and more. Our AI leverages advanced concepts from computer science and graph theory to adapt to and challenge your custom designs.

When you're ready to share your masterpiece, ChessCraft generates a unique web page for your creation, such as https://www.chesscraft.ca/design?id=shape-variant1. Your friends can then play against the AI on your custom board as well.
