We are excited to announce significant updates to 2GIS – the current version struggled to showcase the vast amount of information we have about cities and companies. In the new 2GIS, we have revamped the design, introduced a new search feature, enhanced city updates, and seamlessly integrated favorites with 2gis.ru.

2GIS is your go-to source for detailed information about your locality. It knows which service providers operate in your building, where the nearest district hospital or post office is located, and helps you choose cafes or service centers based on reviews and photos. Additionally, it provides opening hours and contact numbers for a seamless experience.

Transport and Navigation

For drivers, 2GIS offers precise navigation with voice-guided instructions, taking into account traffic conditions and roadblocks. It dynamically updates your route if you deviate from the planned path. For pedestrians, it finds optimal routes using buses, metro, trains, cable cars, and river trams.

Walking Routes

Our pedestrian navigation system guides you through any walkable path, supporting background operation and voice guidance for a hassle-free experience.

Friends on the Map

With 2GIS, you can now track the real-time locations of your friends and family on the map. You control who can see your location and manage your visibility settings.

Building Entrances

Avoid the hassle of searching for building entrances. 2GIS provides access information for over 2.5 million companies, guiding you directly to the door whether you're using public transport or driving.

Plans of Shopping Centers

Navigate effortlessly inside shopping centers with 2GIS. It details everything from shops and cafes to ATMs and restrooms, helping you plan your visit in advance.

2GIS Beta Notifications Companion App for Smart Watches

Our new beta companion app for smart watches on Wear OS is a handy tool for navigating routes on foot, by bike, or by public transport directly from the main 2GIS beta app. It displays maps, provides maneuver hints, and sends vibration alerts when approaching turns or destination bus stops. The app starts automatically when you initiate navigation on your phone and is compatible with Wear OS 3.0 and later versions.

As a beta tester, you'll receive the latest updates and contribute to refining the new 2GIS version, which will soon be used by millions. You can run both the original and beta versions simultaneously, switching between them at any time.

We've rolled out beautiful, crisp updates tailored just for you. Here's what's new:

• We now display wide, realistic roads on the main map and during route searches.
• Introducing Chats for Friends! Now you can message each other without leaving the map.
• Added notifications when a friend is nearby, which you can turn off in settings.
• Just in time for ski season: we've added ski lift statuses on slopes so you can see whether they're open.
• If your public transport route includes walking, we'll calculate the walking part in steps.
