Botim, situated south of the Rinascita-Ragunna-Thessaleo Fells northern Resonance Beacon, initiates the quest. He explains his family's legacy and the shadowy creatures plaguing the ancestral site's three towers, offering rewards for their elimination.

Thorncrown Rises Tower Locations

Three towers comprise this quest, each representing a sub-quest:

• Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise: Located northeast in Thorncrown Rises.
• Shadow of the Towers: Twilight Rise: Situated south in Thorncrown Rises.
• Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise: Found southwest in Thorncrown Rises.

Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise

Begin by speaking with Itzel, positioned east of the Resounding Rise Tower. The tower's exploration involves:

1. Entering a painting at the hallway's end.
2. Tracking and defeating an Abyssal Mercator.
3. Collecting supply chests in the northern, western, and eastern rooms.
4. Navigating a second painting encounter with an Abyssal Mercator.
5. Pursuing and defeating another Abyssal Mercator.
6. Following a painting to stop shooting enemies and defeat a blocking enemy.
7. Correctly arranging paintings:
   • Move the top-left painting to the bottom-right.
   • Move the painting behind the top-left display to the bottom-left.
   • Move the top-right painting to the top-left.
   • Move the painting behind the bottom-right display to the top-right.
8. Claiming a Premium Supply chest.
9. A final Abyssal Mercator encounter.
10. Claiming a Tidal Supply chest from Itzel.

Completing this weakens one Command Rise Tower barrier.

Shadow of the Towers: Twilight Rise

Proceed southeast to the Twilight Rise Tower and speak with Insula to enter. Follow the quest markers until you encounter a loop, then:

1. Investigate three marked locations.
2. Speak with Insula.
3. Enter the secret passage under the elevator.
4. Defeat the Abyssal Patricius.
5. Collect a supply chest and continue pursuing the Abyssal Patricius.
6. A final Abyssal Patricius encounter.
7. Speak with Insula again.
8. Collect the Tidal Supply chest.

This weakens the second Command Rise Tower barrier.

Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise

This sub-quest automatically begins after completing the previous two. The steps involve:

1. Speaking with Insula and Itzel northeast of the Command Rise Tower.
2. Using the Wingray to fly towards the tower.
3. Entering the Command Rise Tower.
4. Following quest markers deeper into the tower.
5. Collecting supply chests.
6. Using the Grapple to climb, collecting more chests and Sonance Caskets: Ragunna along the way.
7. Utilizing the chandelier mechanism to reach the top.
8. Speaking with Insula and Itzel after discovering Liel's demise.
9. Using the portal to reach and defeat the Abyssal Patricius.
10. Claiming the Call of the Abyss Rectifier and a Premium Supply chest.

Exiting via the portal and speaking with Insula and Itzel awards the King of Thessaleo and Shadow of the Tower achievements.
